So usually I don't blog a lot... BUT, I had a little adventure today- and it kind of has to do with the post from yesterday. So yesterday I never got to the library because by the time I got to Nathan's mom the library was going to close in like 5 min. I went home.
Today I decided I was going to ride my bike to the library to take the books bag. After dragging Preston out of bed to come with me we started our journey. He twisted his ankle a couple of days ago and it is still a little sore so I told mom to listen for her phone in case "Preston's ankle..." So we are practically to the library- and I am crossing the railroad tracks when CRASH, BANG, CRACK...
and the rest is history...
My arm is pretty banged up, I don't really know if you can see it in the picture...
Mom sprayed hydrogen peroxide on it, that stuff kills! I started crying and she had to blow on it for me (just like a little kid ;)
I don't know how I will be able to pull espresso shots tomorrow at work. pathetic.
Blogger is being lame and won't upload my shoulder picture, but I scraped up my shoulder, chest and here is my knee it's all cut up and bruised (war wounds right?), I suck at photography so they aren't very good.
The sad thing is when I was falling instead of thinking "oh my gosh, I am going to die..." or "oh no, I'm not wearing a helmet..." or even just "yikes, I am falling." I totally thought "oh my gosh, my bike, it can't get scratched."
PS: I bought this really cute, sweet new trek bike for the summer. That's why I was so worried about it.
My bike is fine (only a few scratches) and I am too. But who is going to spray hydrogen peroxide, blow on my cuts, and kiss my "ow-ies" when I grow up? Sometimes I just need my mom- and no one else will really do the job.

Fern - You are too funny. I have loved your blogs the last couple of days. Yesterdays was my favorite ever. I so love the Nathan story. You will remember that the rest of your life and how it made you feel to help someone in need. Especially someone so young. Nathan will pay it forward! I am glad you are OK after today. Despite the hydrogen peroxide and multiple bandages...you have survived. Mom's just have the magic touch. Don't you know that a mom's kiss will ALWAYS cure everything!1 (I still secretly believe that) However, before you get on that bike again - you MUST go buy a bike helmet!! Your real lucky you didn't crack your noggin...Love ya sis!!!
